The Graphic
Hidden Lake
For decades, only a few miles from the established Fort Snelling outpost between Minneapolis & St. Paul, The Mdewankanton Dakota had a secret: a hidden lake in the big woods, vast waters abundant in fish and game, which also served as a spiritual nexus for the local tribes. That Lake was Mni’Tka, from The Dakota phrase “Big Waters”, later anglicized as Lake Minnetonka.
Hidden Lake was created as part of the “M-Series” of Minnetonka artworks (characterized by the defining outline of the letter “m”).
This version of “Hidden Lake” celebrates the long summer days of the solstice, when a sunset boat cruise happens at 9pm.
The T-Shirt
This is a 4.2 oz. 100% combed, ring-spun cotton t-shirt with 32 singles, giving the resulting t-shirt a quality feel, comfort and fit.
