Santee Sioux – In the area known as “The Big Woods”, the Upper Council of The Dakota nation were the Isáŋyathi , “Santee” Sioux. The Dakota regarded Lake Minnetonka as an immense resource for fishing, raising crops, hunting, and for spiritual worship. The two adjacent dwellings in the design represent the two factions of the Santee who lived in the Lake Minnetonka area: The Mdewankanton and the Wahpekute.
The Shirt
Fabric
The print is applied to a 52% combed, ring-spun cotton & 48% Polyester fabric with 30 singles, giving the resulting t-shirt a premium feel, comfort and fit. Airlume cotton components of the fabrics go through a pre-shrinking process to minimize shrinkage from washing.
Fit
The t-shirt has a regular fit, with a standard length and side-seam construction. It features a tagless design for comfort, with the MNTKA label printed on the inside of the shirt. It is available in 8 unisex sizes:
XS, SM, MD, LG, XL, 2X*, 3X*, 4X*

Factory
This shirt was safely and ethically manufactured in the United States or Central America in a WRAP Certified mill. The manufacturer utilizes reduced water-use processes, high-efficiency electric fixtures & solar power. The process re-uses & recycles fabrics to effectively create zero waste as a result of the production. The US manufacturing facility has created over 1000 American jobs.
